Once upon a time a Dark Hole.

It seems to me that only through tragedy, we, human beings, become more aware, conscious, and a little bit less selfish than what we usually are on a daily basis.

I have been following up all day long this dramatic journey about the 33 miners from Chile that are being rescued from a shitty dark hole, a hole that to me represents the true colors of our world, the business world; the capitalist world.

Perhaps you will be thinking that I am not happy at all with the fact that those workers are back to life, well; I am, but the reality behind this spectacular 'world' effort to bring those men back to light, will soon perish just like a candle; really soon.

Are we citizens of a 'real world'? Do we check the news from our poor/rich countries? Were those the only 'lucky' miners in history? Is their story the only one with a happy ending? What will happen from now on in the mining business? Are the governments from around the globe going to change the laws, benefits, salaries and the working conditions in general after this 'fairy tale' comes to an end? I bet they won't.

This is not the first time our eyes had witness such a shameless situation, here are some worldwide examples (Russia) (China) (Colombia), and again, soon after the infatuation and the frenzy period passes away, we will forget them, sit and wait for another tragedy to happen in order to take advantage of it in a desperate move to show our fellow miserables that we 'care'.

These tragic events are giving us a wake up call, not only by reminding us that we are just a tiny little blue dot floating around the universe, but also by letting us know that we can either pave the way to a social reconciliation or a monumental catastrophe.

I am so glad those 33 men are going to sleep tonight surrounded by their beloved ones, but I can't be thrilled at all knowing that maybe another fatal story can be written next door. Hopefully the richest, the powerful, the ones who are getting the big 'bucks', will turn this awful page so that all the miners in the world could live happily ever after.
